- At about 12:15am, a Fresno Police helicopter was flying over the area of Friant & Freeway 41 when a motorist shined a laser light up to the aircraft. The helicopter followed the vehicle to Friant & Shepard where the driver and passenger were arrested on Federal Felony charges.

- From the “Something You Don’t See Everyday" file, at about 9:50pm, I was near the intersection of First & Nees, and saw someone riding a unicycle.

- At about 2:43am, Fresno Police were dispatched to the area of Blackstone & Terrace for a report of 6-7 males armed with guns on each corner. An update to this call was for a report of someone banging on the doors of the Save Mart at Blackstone & Clinton, begging for help.

- At about 4:38pm, a Fresno Police FAX Unit was dispatched to Shaw & Marks for a report of a male rider who tried to pay his fare with leaves in place of a transfer slip.

- At about 1:17am, Fresno Police were dispatched to the 7-11 at Shaw & Maple for a report of a drunk male trapped inside the store.
- Tweeted by @KMPHFOX26: Temperance/Olive fire in Fresno. Fireworks? No. Lady put a blast in a hole to kill a gopher!
- Between 8pm and 10pm, Fresno Fire Department responded to 13 brush fires...ALL started by fireworks. Also, officials wrote 11 citations, totally $11, 000 since each citation is $1, 000.

- At about 2:40am, Fresno Police were dispatched to the Economy Inn near Blackstone & Ashlan for a report of a vandalism in progress...two drunk or high individuals (a male and a female) throwing rocks at the windows of the business, breaking some.

- At about 1:48am, Fresno Police were dispatched to the area of Blackstone & Clinton for a report of a occupant of one vehicle throwing bleach-filled balloons at passing motorists and buildings.

- At about 5:03pm, a FAX (Fresno Area Express) bus was at the “B Shelter” at Courthouse Park. A female driver reported to her dispatcher about an encounter with an unhappy male passenger about an apparent dispute about a transfer. The passenger then proceeded to pour a cup of water over the driver, and her seat...which were both soaking wet.
