The first day of Spring is not until this weekend, but the Spring Fling started around the beginning of the year...with naked people running around, people waving around sharp weapons, tunnels being dug, and last, but not least...the inebriated!
JANUARY 9, 2015
- At about 1:12pm, Fresno Police were called out to a bus stop at Palm and McKinley for a report of a male throwing items into traffic.
- At about 2:26pm, Fresno Police were alerted to a report of a male with his pants down in the area of Clinton and Marks.
- At about 10:33pm, Fresno Police were called out to the Wells Fargo near Brawley and Shields for a report of a male with a bandana over his face, dancing around in front of the bank.
JANUARY 12, 2015
- At about 12:33am, Fresno Police were dispatched to the area of Shields and Maroa for a "check the welfare" of a male in the middle of the intersection. Upon arrival, the male was seen with a mask on, and looks "5150." He was detained at 12:41am.
FEBRUARY 6, 2015
- At about 10:45pm, Clovis Police were called out to the 800 block of West Pico Avenue near Willow and Gettysburg. Upon arrival, police arrested 61 year old Fryne Williams and was booked into the Fresno County Jail on $500, 000 bond for attempted murder. She allegedly attacked her husband with a machete because she was tired of dealing with him after ten years of marriage.

- At about 4:05pm, Fresno Police were dispatched to Sam's Italian Deli And Market at First and Clinton for a report of a male using a Pit-Bull to threaten employees and customers after he was told to take the dog outside.

- At about 3:15pm, Fresno Police were dispatched to the area of Fresno and Calimyrna for a report of a male with a machete, threatening to take people out.
FEBRUARY 21, 2015
- At about 4:25pm, Fresno Police were alerted to two armed males...one with a gun, the other with a Samurai sword in the parking garage at Inyo and Van Ness. All checked okay...they were just doing a photo shoot.
- At about 4:54pm, Fresno Police were called out to a home (sorry, missed the location) to a report of the "reporting party's" 70-something year old mother attacking everyone in the house.
- At about 7:10pm, Fresno Fire was called out to a house at Jackson and Turner by Fresno Police to check the structural integrity of the home...due to a cave that was found tunneled under it. The police were there for a domestic violence call. A chicken coop on wheels covered the entrance. The cave was also home to an illegal gambling operation, complete with machines. The cave has been deemed unsafe, and will be filled in by the city.

- At about 3:50pm, Fresno Police were called out to the CVS Pharmacy at Fresno and Shaw for a report of a shoplifter that got away...but before leaving, she maced the manager. The manager did apparently get the license plate, which comes back to an address on Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles.

- At about 1:12am, Fresno Police were dispatched to the area of Canyon Springs Apartments and Lawless Elementary for a report of a male wearing a red shirt...and nothing else running around the area.
MARCH 4, 2015
- At about 1:00pm, Fresno Police were called to the McDonald's at Olive and Crystal (near Highway 99) for a report of a topless female babbling incoherently.
- At about 2:38pm, Fresno Police were called out to Blackstone and Shields for a report of a man yelling at passing motorists. He was most likely drunk or high.
- At about 2:43pm, Fresno Police were in the area of Vassar and San Pablo. They discovered a tunnel in a back alley, and called out the Fire Department to inspect it. It was later filled in by the city.
- At about 8:10pm, Fresno Police were called to the Valero Gas Station Mini-Mart at Maple and Shields for a report of a man smoking inside the store, and refusing to put out the cigarette.

- At about 2:06pm, Fresno Police were called to the area of M and Merced for a report of a female in a dumpster, yelling and throwing things around.

- At about 12:25pm, A FAX driver informed their dispatch of a man at the Manchester Transit Center who was trying to board the buses dressed in a black T-Shirt and see-through plaid boxer underwear.
- At about 12:50pm, FAX Transit Police were alerted to a homeless-looking male with large shoes and a bright fluorescent yellow sweatshirt at a bus stop near Cedar and Herndon that smelled bad. Upon arrival, the man left the bus stop, but was in the center median, shadow-boxing.
