Spring Has Sprung...A Mental Lapse

JANUARY 8, 2014
- The owners of Lucky Gas at First & Gettysburg cried foul over some stolen gas, and called the police. From camera footage, a gas truck had “stolen” gas from the underground tanks of the station overnight. Turns out, the distributor of the gas, Red Triangle had re-possessed the gas due to non-payment.

JANUARY 10, 2014
-At about 11:38pm, Fresno Police were called out to an unknown area for a report of a motor vehicle accident, where a disturbance broke out, and a subject threatened the other party with a hammer.

JANUARY 15, 2014
- At about 11:00am, Fresno Police’s CCATT team took into custody a man accused of stealing big rigs and their trailers. At this time, he had stolen a rig, then used the rig to steal a trailer...full of cereal from the Parkway & Ashlan area, and the police caught up with the truck in the area of Van Ness & Railroad.

JANUARY 24, 2014
- At about 6:20pm, a FAX bus on Winery & Kings Canyon was about to go out of service, and be “road-called” due to some problem with the bus. The driver told a male passenger who refused to get off that there was another bus behind her, and he could get on that one. FAX dispatch told the driver to tell the passenger that if he did not get off, he would be cited by transit police. The passenger did get off of the bus, but claimed an injury to his back, and claims that the driver pushed him off of the bus. What he does not know is that there are cameras all over the busses, and all the supervisors have to do is pull the video.

JANUARY 26, 2014
- At about 6:23pm, Fresno Police were dispatched to the Food-4-Less on Kings Canyon & Winery for a report of a petty theft. A woman wearing rabbit ears on her head took a bottle of alcohol.

FEBRUARY 13, 2014
- At about 12:47pm, Fresno Police were dispatched to the Bullard Uniform shop at First & Bullard for a report of a female with mental issues undressing in the store.

FEBRUARY 18, 2014
- At about 4:00am, Fresno Police were dispatched to the Own-A-Car at Blackstone & Bullard for a report of a homeless male having a conversation with the building.

- At about 12:30pm, Fresno Police were dispatched to a business at Blackstone & Dayton for a report of a shoplifter, who was locked into the store by the shopkeeper.

FEBRUARY 20, 2014
- At about 8:10pm, a FAX bus was at Cedar & Shields. A passenger was using foul language. When told by the driver to get off, unbeknownst to her, the foul-mouthed passenger had an open container of alcohol. Upon getting off the bus, the passenger threw the container toward the back of the bus...and now, parts of the inside of the bus is soaked in beer.

FEBRUARY 24, 2014
- At about 8:37pm, Fresno Police and Fresno Fire were dispatched to Fresno & San Jose at the Whispering Woods apartment complex for a report of a intoxicated subject barricaded in his apartment, and had lit his pillow on fire, filling the apartment with smoke. After apprehending the subject, the fire department put out the small fire.

MARCH 4, 2014
- At about 3:55pm, Fresno Police and Sheriff (due to a county jurisdiction) were dispatched to an address on Brawley for a report of two Hispanic male adults in white T-Shirts digging a hole on the side of the road. The reporting party says that the hole looks like grave-size.

MARCH 5, 2014
- Earlier today, the Fresno Fire Department had to respond for a report of a man (Nathan Alfaro) trapped in a 30ft. tall tree at Woodward Park (Audobon & Friant). The fire department brought out a ladder truck to get the man down. Apparently, the man is a photography student at Fresno City College, and was trying to take pictures as a part of a class project.
