> A leftover from February 1, 2013 (forgot to include it into the previous post)..."At about 8:56am, Fresno Police were dispatched to the parking lot of Big 5 Sporting Goods at Blackstone & Barstow for a report of a suspicious male urinating on a car."
> CLARIFICATION (names have been made public on newscasts): On February 1, 2013, at about 2:00pm, a man (Jett McBride) claiming that he was “GOD" rammed an African-American PG&E worker (name with-held) with his car while in a rage. While the worker was being helped by his co-workers and a few bystanders (including a nurse), the man attacked the PG&E worker’s helpers. A homeless man (“Kai”), who hitch-hiked a ride from the suspect tried to help the innocent citizens by attacking the suspect with a hatchet. The PG&E workers then tackled the suspect until authorities could arrive. McBride is from Washington, and was in a mental facility for his “God” claims, and was released a few days prior to the incident, and currently is being held in the Fresno County Jail...Kai, the "Home-Free Hitch-hiker" is now somewhere in.the valley, and is now a YouTube sensation with some television shows (Colbert Report, Jimmy Kimmel Live, etc.) telling the story...and the injured PG&E worker sustained broken bones, and is now recovering at home. He is expected to miss several weeks of work. A trial will be held.
>>> ...Now, onto the new stuff...

- At around 10:00pm, a high-speed chase traversed the Fresno streets Friday night with speeds in excess of 40-80mph. The chase started at Blackstone & McKinley when a MAGEC (Multi-Agency Gang Enforcement Consortium) officer tried to pull over a vehicle. I picked up on the chase on the scanner when it was at Blackstone & Shields. The CHP took over the pursuit as it traveled south on Glenn toward Fresno City College, west on Cambridge, up Maroa to Courtland, back to Glenn, down Clinton to Palm, north on Palm to Alluvial, and eastbound toward River Park. It continued onto El Paso to Angus, then north to Nees. The suspect vehicle then went east on Nees to Chestnut, and traveled south to where it crashed at Chestnut & Bullard, and an occupant leg-bailed into a field where the suspect was then taken into custody. During the chase, I overheard something related to a armed robbery (PC-211) at a gas station at Blackstone & Gettysburg, and the suspects even tried to deliberately crash into police cars..."Assault With A Deadly Weapon (ADW, PC-245 with enhancement)” to a peace officer, and of course evading arrest when the suspect ran. When the suspects crashed, they ran into another vehicle, causing injuries to it’s driver. Reports state that the driver of that vehicle, a 61 year-old driver will be okay, A CHP officer and a suspect were also injured.

- (From the FPD Facebook page) At about 6:39am, Fresno Police responded to a call of a stabbing at the West & Ashlan. The suspect asked the victim for a cigarette outside of the McDonalds near the entrance doors. When the victim did not have a cigarette, the suspect became upset and stabbed the victim in his upper body and left arm resulting in a collapsed lung. Based on employees statements it is believed the suspect is a homeless man who lives on the canal banks in the Ashlan/West Area. The suspect in this case is currently outstanding and has not been identified at this time (but a picture was captured on security cameras). The suspect is described as a WMA, 18 to 20 years, 6’1-6’2, thin build, 150 to 160 pounds, and mustache. He was last seen wearing a camo jacket, tan beanie, and blue jeans. The suspect is a frequent customer ant that business location.
